| The Jackie Williamson Sisters of Hope Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization providing financial assistance to women in the gay communities in New England. We aim to inspire the women of the lesbian community to make a difference in the lives of their sister lesbians through financial generosity and volunteer commitment.
We are dedicated to the creation and maintenance of financial funds to aid in the emotional and social health of lesbians with disabilities or chronic/terminal illnesses. We enhance the positive quality of individual, family, and community life by providing financial and volunteer services that are consistently available, accessible, and responsive to the needs of individuals and families seeking assistance and to work with the community to contribute, facilitate, and promote solutions for the enrichment of all.

Jackie’s Story
Jackie was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. She bravely took control and decided to have a double mastectomy as an extra precaution! She fought that battle for almost 2 years with success until Nov. of 2008 when suddenly she had another reoccurrence. She was then confronted with a malignant brain tumor. Her diagnosis was metastasized breast cancer. The cancer had spread to other areas of her body. She had intense brain radiation and chemotherapy. She won some very difficult battles and received some very precious time to enjoy with her family and friends! Jackie fought multiple battles for the right to live. She was a true warrior and gave it all she had to extend her life with dignity.
Our dear friend Jackie has taken her final journey with us here on earth. It was very peaceful and serene for her to leave and say good-bye. She has now entered the next phase of her being. She is with the angels singing and dancing without any pain or suffering. |

Rest in Peace, 2010
